Though a "Diary" my online diary is a work of FICTION.

It may at times strongly reflect actual events of my life, often how I honestly perceived them and display my genuine reactions. But not always and everything contained within should be treated as a fiction.

This is also a personal diary, so by reading it you are violating my privacy. And as it is a personal diary you are not allowed to hold anything you read in it against me, as you shouldn't have been reading it anyway.

Monday night I fell asleep early, with my glasses on in a lit room, face in my keyboard.  I guess first dose of the new meds hit hard.

Was not a fun way to wake up at almost actual getting up time.

Kind of pissed off that all my months of unpleasant weaning off of meds proved was that I didn't actually need to do it after all... (though, pseudo-ironically, weaning off was actually required to prove it wasn't).

Also, specialist did not care that I had.

Have been feeling run down since.  These new meds have an 8 week wean-on.  Could be a bit of a mission.

Typing is fucking hard today, all the wrong words keep coming out and I hope my lax proofing is catching them all.

Specialist happened

After weaning off my pain meds, and thus constant increased pain since November, I had my neurology appointment today.

It was not the first of many like I expected.  It probably isn’t a helpful step toward having a job and paying proper taxes.

The lack of any notable advancement in my symptoms since neurology gave up on me in 2011 means there is no new information to work from, and, thus, that there is nothing new to do.

I didn’t get enough worse for there to be anything to learn, so they can’t help me get better.

Only hope is they are trying me on a different drug, though noted that I was doing pretty well with gabapentin so in the long term going back on what I came off might be the better choice.

It is all fairly depressing.  But at least this neurologist did a much better job of talking to a patient like they were human, even if he was a bit brisk and efficient about everything - so a big improvement on the last one I saw.

On the way home I fell in a shrubbery in the Centre City New World car park. It was not ideal, there are holes in me where holes should not be, and not in a cool Antman Quantumania kind of way.

Hot baths instigate fainting. Not sure instigate is the best word, but I like the mouth feel.

Have been looking after Simon and Joe's cat since Thursday.  I am abusing their plentiful heating, and timed well as I seem to have started coming down with a cold just after they left.

And today I abused their comfortably large bathtub for an overly warm soak  - that left me sweaty and very wobbly afterwards, suggesting it may have been a little hotter than is most healthsome.

Otherwise trying to decide between Warlock or Bladesinger for the plasmoid sailor called Terry Toma that I am making for Monday night games (we are Spelljammering).  Either way it will be a melee build about Booming Blade and Green-Flame Blade spamming (depending on situation).  Bladesinger is slightly superior for AC and range of spells, but Warlock has better attack and quirk utilities.  Is hard to decide.

Stupid change in the season

Last night the weather hit winter temperatures. I was cozy under my blankets, but all the skin on what wasn’t under the blanket, ie my face, got desiccated to fuck.

Lips cracked and split.

Nostril cracked and split - which is awful and makes me hate human flesh sacks.

I am not impressed.

And I had been so happy with the weather yesterday, after so much thunder and lightning making the sky exciting.

Doh

I just had a courier deliver something I reported missing from an order last week.

Turns out the courier company had misplaced part of it. Now I feel like I am stealing as replacement parts have been sent out already.

And I am too awkward and embarrassed to tell the company.
